Installing RV Water Accumulator in Airstream

Installing water accumulator in my 2023 Airstream 27FB. Love how it helps with less pump pulsating, quieter water pump and helps with pump longevity. It also helped with more consistent hot water with my on-demand hot water system when I turn the water off and on in the shower.

Water Accumulator Installation Steps

  1. Make sure you have proper hose size and connectors to connect accumulator to the water pump. I used this house in this installation. 1/2″ IN x 3/4″ OD Braided Hose – with connectors
  2. Figure out best position for accumulator in your situation, preferably near the water pump.
  3. Set proper accumulator pressure based on your water pump cut-out PSI. In my case the that was 52 PSI.
  4. Cut hose and put on connectors based on the length you need to connect rv water accumulator to water pump.
  5. Turn off water pump, disconnect city water and release pressure in the water system by opening a faucet.
  6. Disconnect line out hose on water pump, connect new hose to water pump.
  7. Mount rv water accumulator.
  8. Connect the rv water accumulator to the hoses in the water system.
  9. Turn on water pump and test for leaks.
